Driver side door not Deadlocking

Hi All

         I think I may need your help on this one !!

               Problem .... Led alarm indicator when locked flashes then says solid for around 30 seconds then flashes as it should.

VCDS scan shows .... 00096 driver door central locking (safe) motor (v161)

                                      electrical fault in circuit

                                    00928 locking module for  central locking front driver side ( F220)

                                      08 - implausible signal 

Have tried locking vehicle with me in it !! & & the drivers door does not deadlock, all the others do.And they all lock as they should

   Have checked wiring in between the door & cabin, no broken wires.

Do i need a new door module ?  Anyone had similar problems
