FL Combi q's (head unit upgrade & boot accessories)

Featured Replies

hi folks

just picked up a 2010 octavia combi last week, and Im thinking of getting a few bits for it, which I hope you folks can advise me on..!

Main one is the radio.. its a stock Swing unit, so am looking at upgrade options. We have the MFSW, and bluetooth (such that I can connect the phone up, and make and receive calls) - not sure if its possible to stream music over it though, maybe with a better head unit? Doesnt appear possible with the Swing at least

So at the moment Im considering just swapping to a Bolero, and mainly using the SD slot. Be good if the bluetooth would work here, but not sure its possible..

Columbus is probably out of budget (300e approx)

Other things Im looking for is a good boot liner, and some sort of protective loading trim for the bumper (stop the dog ruining the paint on the top of the bumper) - anyone know a good place to source bits like that?

for bumper protector try itn-kg on ebay I bought mine from there and I am very happy with it

Boot liner and bumper protector - try superskoda

thanks for the suggestions guys

That ebay link looks good alright - unfortunately no octavia liners at the moment, but others he has look good quality

Had a good look at superskoda, good call also!

For the headunit, if I cant get a Bolero at a reasonable price, I might just retrofit a MDI connection - and try and replace the Aux input in the Jumbobox as factory as possible. Any know if anyones done similar? The MDI work ok with a Swing, and the multi function steering wheel?
