The rear wiper motor in my 2004 Mk1 Octavia Hatchback has packed in, and I need a replacement.  Have been offered a rear wiper motor from a Mk1 Octavia Estate, anyone know if this will fit?

Oooo I might be wrong but don't think so, it's probably more about the rotation for the size/shape of windscreen.

Have you tried stripping and servicing yours? Can get more life out of them that way unless they're too far gone.

They're likely to be different

Yes, well it's already been stripped and serviced some time back, and then was tempermental for some time, and seems to have finally given up the ghost.  Thanks for the suggestion.  I was also guessing that the motor might be similar but due to the windscreen angle difference, they are likely to be different parts?  Not totally sure.

They are a different part number I think...I eventually gave in like yourself and bought a new valeo oem one. I didn't want to blank it.
