Electrical window help!

Featured Replies

hey guys, drivers window has come down and and is now stuck down.  All of the other windows work.  I noticed the lights under the control switches flickering....cleaned with electrical component cleaner and now it doesn't light now up.  Any ideas apart from taping up my window before it starts to rain.

driver or passenger? occasionally the buttons fall out of alignment... if its passenger, use drivers side to "wind" it up

more than likely the wire in the mechansim has broke though, which means get the tape out for tonight!

edit: can't read - check connections in switch (im sure theres a guide on here somewhere)

driver side....took the master switch out but I can't seem to open it as it has some really tiny torques  I tried cleaning it but now when I plug it back in, the lights don't even light up and now I can't control any of the other windows and I get no clicking noise.. :s

is it like to be the switch?  I can buy one on the bay but now with the bank holiday weekend, its not going to come until next week. :s

this is the part number 1j4959857A but would the different end Letter B, C, D etc...fit/work?

Could even be the wiring is broken where it goes through the rubber hose between the body and the door, jiggle the hose about to see if it makes any contact.
