Aircon problem

Featured Replies

A few weeks ago my aircon started not cooling the air down so I took it to the garage to be check and topped up. No problems worked fine very cold was great easy fix. Got in it today not cooling the air down again the switch light is on but no difference between on and off? Would it be a fuse or something more serious??

Is it a big costly job to have fixed?

If the light is on you have switched it off. The light needs to be off. Both jobs cost roughly the same approx £250 where you go

If just condenser the job will be cheap. If compressor gone the job would be expensive because faulty compressor may leave small debris all over the system. So you will need: new condenser, new compressor, freon+ oil and labor.

So don't let any one to replace just compressor without seeing it insite, debris in the system will kill it in a few weeks again. That job cost for me about £850. Dealer wanted £1450.

Air con failure is common for all Skodas
