Mk4 Golf GTI Recaros into a Fabia

Featured Replies

I've got a chance to buy a pair of Recaros from a Mk4 Golf GTI.

I know they won't fit directly into Fabia due to the difference in subframes.

However, has anyone looked into, or successfully transferred the subframes over to the new seats?

I've heard that someone successfully transferred a complete set of TT seats into a Polo, but can't find any details anywhere.

I think you will struggle due to the width of the seats and how they mount.

If they wont fit the fabia any chance you could PM me the details

Bugger.... ;):D

A mere three minutes too late Adrian :P

Anyway, what do you need Recaros for? It's not as if you're running as much power as Stu :P ;)

edit: just went over to check my facts and the last RR figures you have. Nice plot :)

The Recaros in question are from a 3 dr GTI anyway. Ideally, I want some from a 5 dr, so I'm not gonna bother with these particular ones.

I'd still like have a go @ getting some Recaro's to fit.

Nothing wrong with 3dr seats in a 5dr, only visible difference is the lever. Otherwise fitment is the same and they can pulled forward which makes cleaning in the back of the car easier.

Yeah, I know but would like to keep it OEM as possible.

What do yo think they're worth?

Just the fronts?

Priced about the same, but the passenger side seat has a smallish hole in the pocket netting.

The vRS seats are fairly similar shape to recaros, I know there not the same but close enough for a vRS, hold you in nicely i think...
