Any welders in my area?

Featured Replies

Got my passenger seat in bits as I wanted to weld up support bars to my seat lowers

I didn't realise the metal work is so pencil thin ( should have guessed by the low weight TBH ) so arc welding is massively inappropriate for the job (which should be so simple)

Anyone kindly able to help with a better welding setup ie MIG etc?

Best to say where you are in the title isn't it?  :P

Soz its Northants ! But I'd come to you with em.

I might just end up aralditing as a horrible bodge ...... did this first time around but the wife walked into it and ruined it and I had hardly any left so it didn't stick well!

Don't suppose it will last on 2nd attempt either and loathed to do it, but my passenger seat is off and so I've got to either weld it tonight or just use araldite and sort out proper welding again in future.

Please do not araldite something so important, just think of the stress the joint will be under once someone is sat in the seat!

Yes, I agree but also don't have much choice ( temporarily ). The whole point of me taking it apart was to do it properly but I have no MIG !!
