I know this is probably a bit of old chestnut (as its getting towards Christmas) but this variable service malarkey. My Octavia 1.9tdi elegance has now completed roughly 13k in 9 months over both motorway and urban driving and has had 2 litres of oil, the servicing is coming up at 18,600 miles would this seem right and what is the cost of a first service ?

I was quoted 260 yesterday for the first variable service at 19500 miles.
