Morning All - New member, old car

Featured Replies

Morning all,

Thought I'd finally join as I have my daily runner back on the road.  Its a 1.9 classic Diesel with 252000 miles on it!  I live I West Sussex and I was travelling up to Morden every day for a year and now working at Byfleet so still getting a few miles on it. As you can see from the pictures I work in a garage which is pretty handy with this car!

I've had the usual issues - Steering rack and steering angle sensor cause me issues.  I fitted the first after market rack and it didn't even work.  Tried a second one and I can get PAS to the left and sod all to the right... 3rd time lucky when I can be bothered!

Also had the flashing dash lights which seems to of calmed down since changing the steering angle sensor oddly.

A/C still works - had to replace the temp sensor which was a ball ache.  I've also done the clutch, alternator, cam belt, new front spring, windscreen and replaced the front speakers as the old ones literally fell apart. Pretty much replaced the whole car...

Also I've just completed the Bora seat swap using the original Fabia bases.  I had a look at what some others had done and it was surprised in how easy it was!!

Any I've attached some pictures.  About it really.  By the way, if anyone wants the old fabia seats or the Bora bases you're more than welcome to have them!
