Gear knob inlay faded

Featured Replies

Anyone else had this issue and replaced just the inlay.

I see you can get them from SuperSkoda, or do you know of elsewhere they are available

Just interested if anyone has done this swap/replacement.

Thanks in advance

Could you post a picture of the knob as it sounds like it's probably not original.

This is my Fabia gear knob that I have replaced the inlay because the chrome was pealing off, this one is stainless.

Here are some pictures of my 2012 Yeti gear lever.

It looks an Original fitment to me.

I think you'll have the best chance of getting one on eBay or SuperSkoda

That doesn't look like the standard fitment to an SE.

Mine is just a chrome piece with the numbers pressed into the surface.

Which 2 litre do you have? 110/140/170?

It is the 110 version

That's the standard insert for a later car than those that have the chrome inserts.  You can get new inserts from your dealer.

No 6th gear on the 110? Strange?

110 2x4 = 5 speed box, 110 4x4 = 6 speed box.  ;)

Ahh okay! Cheers!

Even the 1.2tsi 105 has a 6 speed box lol.
