Bump!!

Did you ever replace any engine/gearbox mounts?

Not yet, still wondering if its the exhaust

Many people have said it, but you still keep going back to the Exhaust.

Check/replace your engine mounts first, Do them then bump the post if it continues.

My next check would be Flywheel..... they have a DMF installed.. it might be on its way.

Liverpool-Lad knows already but on mine I'm pretty sure it's coming from the exhaust system somewhere (probably the cat or middle silencer).

At the last service I noticed there was a bit of a rattle when hitting the exhaust from underneath with the engine off. The noise also changed when my mechanic was under the car pushing on the exhaust while I held the revs at about 2200.

I don't really notice mine now so I'm not going to start replacing bits of the exhaust unless it fails an MOT or gets worse. Emissions were fine on the last MOT a few months ago. My car is on 155k now and I believe is still on the original exhaust.

I think the DMF might be a good shout, they normally cause more horrendous vibrations than that when they totally seize up though.

Did anybody find any solution to the sound. Mine has the same problem but it is 1.6 petrol engine.

Yes it was the cat. An aftermarket downpipe and cat was fitted due to the cost of OE parts
