Computer (Mfd) malfunction

Featured Replies

Hello

I own an Octavia II FSI Ambiente Hatchback 2006. The car has a multifunction display (Mfd), but no Maxidot display and no multifunction steering wheel. The Mfd used to function well. However, lately the "Ø liter/100 km" display has become stuck so to speak. It says 6.6 liter/100 km all the time. The "Current liter/100 km" display would seem to be correct enough.

I installed a new radio in the car a little more than a month ago. When the "average liter/100 km" became stuck, the Mfd had been funtioning well for several weeks after I installed the new radio.

Since around July 20, the "defective bulb" warning light has been on intermittently, but I have not been able to find any defective bulb. I have had a specially close look at the (dipped) headlights. Any ideas what (bulb) might be defective. Could the two problems (defective bulb and defective Mfd) be related in an way?

Best regards and thanks for any help.
