Automatic recording

Featured Replies

I have a lidl dvr which works fine however it has stopped switching on automatically when ignition is turned on ? The cables and adapters are working fine and even when connecting it via a plug socket to charge it ,still doesn't come on recording from when it has power ?

Is there a setting to auto-start/stop somewhere in the menu?

Under warranty?

Check the options and reset to default / factory if you can but usually with electronics anything changing without your input indicates a problem.

No

Only auto stop in minutes after ignition off

Lost receipt so no warranty! I have done factory reset but nothing but charges up fine and if I switch on manually it's fine ?

Might be worth a punt anyway.

Lidl are usually quite good at returns with no receipt, providing you have the original packaging etc.

They've already said no!

Write to Lil HQ and explain.

The one I bought stopped auto-starting AND auto stopping on the day after I fitted it, so I returned it. It also lies about the resolution on the box; the front says 1080p, the back says upscaled 720p; certainly picture quality wasnt as good as my cheapo Chinese 1080p DVR.

I'd push them, as they usually can "find " a record of payment on the serial no. Did you pay cash, or debit card ?

Yeah that's right Ian , there is a YouTube showing the camera getting broken down and showing its a fake 1080p camera

You don't need the receipt, just 'proof or purchase'.   ;)

Have you formatted the card in the camera?

Keep at lidl remembering date you purchased and approx time would be of help too. But ultimately, replace it with something else IMO and not from Halfords either, who also pull the same 1080p lies stunt too. China folk on Ebay are spot on!

Yes several times

I had issues with mine not switching on when I formatted the card on my computer. Reformatted with the camera format control and it fixed it.
