Cold air intake

Featured Replies

Looking to run a s2000 air filter on a cold air intake. Can anyone link me up to some cheap piping/ reducers that wont break the bank. Ones ive found so far have been well overpriced. Thanks

I've used ASH hoses a lot, very good. Have you thought about just shoving an 80mm pipe in your airbox with a good panel filter, fed down behind bumper? Works just as well, some say better than a budget cone...

Yeah that would work just as well, but the plank that owned the car before me has just stuck a cone straight on the maf and tied it in place with an eye burning arrangement of cable ties. Just seen the cai some people have done on theirs and decided it looked good and to give it a go.

Dodgy that is because if the MAF starts vibrating or shaking about it can/will chuck a mental. There are some reasonable budget cai kits on ebay for the 1.8t or there used to be anyway, or go used?

Yeah just got one delivered from ebay. Can this be fitted without removing the battery?

I was able to feed an 80mm pipe behind mine but I wasn't putting a cone on the end of it. Depends where it runs to but I'd probably say headlight out and maybe even bumper off if you can't feed down the pipe and cone pre-assembled passed the battery. That's all straightforward though just needs a bit of a nack, give us a shout if you have any questions.
