Fitting sub and amp

Featured Replies

Has anyone ever done this and if so was it a simple job? And could you give a quick simple step by step?

Heard some say you gotta disconnect the battery and drill holes but that was for different cars.

Depends how thick your power cable is. If its 8awg or smaller then you route the cable through a grommet that is already there, if you look in the passenger footwell you will find a grommet with a vacuum tube going through it, just thread it through there. If you want to put a 4awg cable or bigger you will need to drill a hole.

I just put mine through the bulkhead where the rear screen wash pipe goes.

Would the power cables go through here then? Is this the pre drilled holes. (Just up from the top mount)

Yep, through the black grommet that is already there. About 45 degrees from the strut top, then if you stand at the side of the wing and look under the scuttle panel you can see the other grommet. It can be done without removing scuttle panel.

From the inside of the car, remove glovebox, 5 torx screws, unclip the light and undo the rubber air pipe (into the glovebox).

Then feel round the back of the thick carpet so hand uptowards the firewall and feel for the grommet. Aim as if you were to visualise from the outside where you'd expect the hole to be.Just push it out and then feed the wire in from engine bay into inside of car.
