Front left headlight no longer working after collision with Pigeon..

Featured Replies

So driving back from work the other week I hit a pigeon, it's knocked the headlight off it's bracket so it rattles now, and the low beam no longer works.

I have the bulb warning light on my dashboard so it looks like there's a fault with the connection to the light, has anyone had this problem before? I literally don't know where to start to fix it, any help appreciated.

Did you have dipped-beam headlights on at the time? If so check fuse 54.

Well the fuse hasn't blown as the light came on for a small while when I moved the front lamp around, so it's as if the connection is broken somewhere.

Since it's not the fuse, I'd suspect the bulb (particularly if the headlights were on at the time; also check the LH sidelight if this is the case) or the wire where it enters the headlight plug.

Remove the pigeon, check bulb, check wires, cook pigeon, test lights, eat pigeon

^ :D

or just hope the pidgeon ate few fireflies and it will start glowing
