Octavia Electric Seats

Hi Guys,

Sorry to bug you with what sounds like a stupid request but I've had my car now since July 21sf and nothing I do seems to store the drivers seat position in a memory position.

The owners manual says with the ignition switched on to press the set button and within ten seconds to press one one of the three memory buttons, starting from number one, to set your position in memory and it will be confirmed by a chime but all I'm getting is my seat moving into positions preset by previous owners ... I've tried it with ignition on as in all the warning lights or with just power to the radio and neither makes a difference.

I got one chime yesterday afternoon but after washing and cleaning the car I sat in the seat to readjust it and it still moved back to the previous owners position.... am I doing something wrong or is it a possibility that the set button isn't working so when I press it nothing's happening.

Regards

Peter

Hi Simbo,

I've tried this but as soon as I push a setting button the seat starts to move into the position already stored in it.

Hi Simbo,

I've got two key fobs but only ever use one, the other is kept in my wife's handbag incase mines goes missing ....

I'll try working on the set button to see if it's the issue, what gets me is that I did get a bong yesterday (Tuesday) afternoon and it seemed to have done the trick but today I ended up back at square one ..

Regards

Peter

sounds like a faulty memory seat switch, get some one with VCDS to do a scan for you as it should confirm this being the problem and get a replacement from your local TPS or skoda dealer for around £35

Is there anyone near me in the Motherwell or Glasgow area with VCDS to run a check on the switch...
