Hi folks!

Stumbled across this forum looking for info on the Fabia II vRS, and been reading loads and loads.

Me and my girlfriend bought a used '12 Superb estate last summer, 140hp TDI DSG with most options ticked save park assist. Really happy with it this far, super comfortable and I fell for the classy front end, limo feel backseat and incredible VFM.

After moving house this summer we've found ourself needing a second car. The only criteria was that it needed to be able to fit one adult and two baby seats, so the 12 year old boy in me started thinking 'why always be so sensible'. I've always dreamed of having a sportier car, but money and/or other needs have always kept me from it.

Thing is, I've never really driven or experienced a quick car. I do love the torque in our Superb, the feeling of getting shoved into my seat a little bit. To see wether a quick car was any fun to drive, I test drove a Saab 92x (saabaru) and a '94 3.0 M3. Turns out they were only really fun on motorway ramps (if you want to keep within speed limits or even anywhere near it) , as basically all the fun happened very late in the rev range.

Originally wanted to have a look at the mk1 vRS, but there have been none for sale for months. Took a mk2 for a spin last weekend, and it was great fun!

Going to have a look at another one tomorrow with all intentions of buying if it's as good as advertised. Still 2 years warranty left (5 years in Norway) and previous owner claims 0.5L of oil every 5-7000km.

Welp, that turned into a bit of an essay.. Just wanted to thank the community for providing so much info!

Quick question at the end: I dont't get the name briskoda. BRI Skoda? Brisk Skoda? What's the deal here?

Lars-Erik,

In hind sight the name is a quirky one, but I was adamant 'forum' or similar wasn't going to be used :D. Frequently said as bri-skoda, people think oh british skoda it's not... far from it :)

It's more this:

Pronounced “bris-skoda”, a brisk skoda, a Skoda driven in a spirited or “brisk” manner.

Hope this helps :)

Welcome to the community too :)

Hello, nordmenn, good to see you here :) Show your cars! :)

Hello and welcome I have a polo gti same car oil consumption is high on this model as most vag engines are oil burners some are known to be very high in oil use avoid the earlier engines on the later ones they changed internal parts like oil pick up pipes I believe to help stop this issue
