I'm gonna ask here because the seat forum is as much use as herpes.

What would be needed to get the PD160 to around 250hp... or there abouts I'd like something safe that isn't gonna cost a lot more to maintain.

I'm thinking I need to go to a vag specialist to give it a once over as I think the DMF is on the way out and if you floor it in 1st it's sluggish until just under 2k rpm... makes pulling off quick a bit tricky, I quite often stall it when trying to get going in a hurry, never had any problems like this in my old vrs but that was mapped and had a performance clutch of some sort in it, with the vrs it was give it some revs and dump the clutch and it would go off like a rocket, I have to ride the clutch on the seat.

Anyone know what it could be? Could it be sticky vanes? Boosts fine in every other gear and goes pretty well.

Thanks jono

Know what you mean about the seat forum.

Everyone I've seen worth more than 170hp ends up breaking the car for spares within a year.

250BHP and safe = buy a different car. I think 200-220 is a safe® level for the PD130/150.

maybe that's why---but I'm sure you'll get a warm welcome back on Cupra Net
