exhaust technical question

Featured Replies

Hi everyone, ive recently bought a 2.5" downpipe and sports cat. The rest of the exhaust is being custom made by powerflow tomorrow. The question is what size pipework is best if i'm planning on going stage 2 and eventually bigger turbo and stage 3. I thought carrying on with 2.5" after the cat would be best, or would standard 2.25" be fine. As the pipe would need to be flattened to get past the rear axle anyway. I guess the cat is the biggestrestriction anyway, so would going 2.25 actually make any further restriction? Thanks

You want 2.5 and no it doesn't need to be flat over rear beam if made properly

you really want a 3 inch downpipe as well

you really want a 3 inch downpipe as well

Isn't 3in abit overkill with standard ko3s

No perfectly good and proven on dyno

But as op want stage 3 that will prob be hybrid so perfect
