Funnily enough i was discussing building this as a track project last night... as there seems to be a plentiful supply of body damaged fab vRS's lurking...

remapped pd130 into mk2 stripped.. should be able to hit 250bhp per ton..... which is a little better than the fab vRS's standard 100 ish bhp per ton....

Indeed - Diesel is far from ideal for track use. A vtec [or TB's on a twin cam] or similar would be far better IMO

No, that's not a charge cooler, it Fabia intercooler, but I'm going to put one from BMW 320d E46 because this one is one wrong place.

No it's clean 130HP for now. I have some electronic problems. When I fix that, and put new intercooler than I'm going on 160HP.

It's faster in 0-100 km/h and in max speed. Better all the way of GTi 1.8 16V

I think the whole car is meant to not be like everyone elses. It has only just clicked that it is a PD engine, and i am super impressed !

Theres no reason that without a bigger IC, bigger turbo, bigger injectors, big air intake and a big exhaust (hmmm - lots of "big" there ) that you shouldn't be able to get over 200bhp with a remap. In a Mk2 it would be mental!

I think this is an excellent project. The changes to the exterior are all very subtle and tasteful, and the conversion makes so much sense to me: the 130 pd and 6-speed box are a brilliant combination, in one of the prettiest cars of the 90s.
