Hi guys,

I recently bought a pair of Sachs front shock absorbers for my mk2 vrs. They got delivered today and on the box it says Audi A2... Will these fit or not?

The a2 runs the PQ24 like the prefacelift fabia. The facelift is pq25 but i think the differences are at the rear suspension

DOH sorry i mis read A2 and thought it was A1.  

 

The A1 (Type X8) runs the very same platform as the 2010 on Mk2 Fabia, Ibiza Mk4 & Polo Mk5.

The face lift 2014 Polo & 2015 A1 still run the same platform.

The S1 is Modified & then the 2015 Polo GTI, 

& the 3rd Generation Fabia is Modified again.

Still all the same Platform really, never a new Type Approval.

So I should be good then.

I don't want to take the old one off to then realise it won't fit. The Sachs part number is 300032

That part No. does not match your requirement as far as i can see.

Diesel A2 etc,  

not the 1.4 TFSI or 185ps A1,  

But someone might know for sure.

just looked at Monroe Struts compatibility and they seemed to show theirs as suiting across the models. 

but 2009 on.

so really non the wiser.

I suppose I'll just have to try it and see what happens

There always has been a mix up on whether the facelift is pq24 or 25.

Gonna say. A2 is too old of car to use the pq25.

Its a guessing game i guess. The link below suggests Fabia, but shows OEM part numbers for other cars. 8Z is audi a2 and 6q is Polo.
