VCDS Octavia III Screen Logo Tweaks

Recommended Posts

Messing around with my O3 and trying Golf 7 tweaks I discovered some stuff. Note that my car is an Octavia III Elegance of November 2013 production with color maxidot and Bolero Infotainment

Changing the Maxidot Boot Logo:

Controller 17 - Instruments

10 - Adaptation

From the channel list select: Display Depiction

The active one is the Version 1 by default.

From the bottom drop down list you can select respectively:

Version 1 - Default Skoda Logo

Version 2 - Alternative Skoda Logo

Version 3 - Skoda VRS Logo

To do so on the bolero also:

Controller 5F - Information Electr.

07 - Coding

Byte 18

By default the Value is 00

Change the value to:

00 - Skoda Default

01 - Skoda VRS
02 - Scout
03 - Lauren and Klement
04 - Greenline

I suppose that this can also work on Amundsen and Columbus. If someone tries please post the results...

I will take some photos of the proccess and the results later...

Thanks

Out of interest does anyone have, or can anyone kindly make me the vrs logo (no 2)?

I've been looking everywhere to try and find one for the boot screen of my android unit.

Would greatly appreciate any help.

I was able to change the logo on the infotainment. But I get a Request out of Range error message when I try it for the MaxiDot

There is monochrome and colour maxidot - is coding for colour version only?

Hey Guys,

so I've managed to change the logo according to the instructions, however I don't know how to see the final result. I know that the radio show the startup logo only in some specific cases, so I'm wondering if there is a way to force it so that it shows up. I tried turning the car on the next day and the radio came up almost instantly without booting logo.
