3" Stainless

Featured Replies

Had some work done today. 3" stainless cat bk custom made today. Boy was it a tight fit. The welds were a work of art. First impression WOW. Is it loud? already had the resonator out. So not much of a difference. Until I pressed the loud pedal. Hopefully I'll get some pics and vids up soon

So I've been working since the exhaust has been fitted. Today has been the first day to give it a proper try. I drove up to knockhill for the Paul walker tribute. It was a gd turn out although a bit cold. Right I said not much difference, total pants. It's loud. Pop and farts from 3k - 5k. Does it drone @ 50mph no. @ 60mph no @70ish no unless going up a hill it does drone but with wind noise and some heavy metal on the iPod its not to bad. But its louder than I first thought alot louder. Do I like? I would have liked it a bit quieter, but for 3" straight through feck it! I live with it. Vid s to follow

So now is the question, do I de-cat or sports cat the 3" stainless as it looks as tho iam heading towards stage 2.

I Like it

Sounds quieter than mine.

I would go for a sports cat to avoid the engine management having a fit as i think they have a pre and post car sensor. correct me if I'm wrong.

Saying that you would probably be able to get the sensors mapped out.

The video doesnt tell the whole story it's very loud and pops and farts from 2.5k-7k Ill prob get the sensor mapped out.I would just like to know if the turbo prefers the de-cat or sports cat as we know thanks to Lucifer that these turbos don't like no back pressure!

Mines decat and don't have a light on you need a spacer for the lamba sensor
