seat ibiza esp

Featured Replies

Hi,
Is it possible to install ESP and hill hold to my car?

2013 seat ibiza dsg, no hill hold and esp !

Skoda technical like seat.

Best regards.

I from Turkey.

Retrofitting ESP is a very big job, and would involve dismantling large parts of the car.

When Audi recalled the mk1 TT and retrofit ESP to each car, instead of getting the dealers to do it like they do with every other recall, they shipped them all back to the factory as it's such a big job.

You'll need to at least change the ABS pump, and add the yaw and G-sensors etc wherever they go. Probably the steering angle sensor too.

This guide shows how someone did it on a mk4 Golf. Your Ibiza will be different as it's a different platform, but should give an idea.

Realistically it would be easier to sell your car and buy one with ESP fitted at the factory.

Thank you, best regards.

It really depends what you currently have, if you have ABS/ASR then it might be pretty simple. Can you add an autoscan from VCDS?

I added ESP and HHC to my MY12 Octavia (ASR as standard) for less than £100 and about 4 hours labour. It needed a new ABS pump, brackets and an adaptor for the wiring loom.
