Will this head unit connect up ok?

Featured Replies

I have a 59 plate FL MkII Octavia VRS and was just wondering if this replacement head unit: http://www.autopumpkin.com/8-inch-1024-600-hd-digital-touchscreen-android-4-4-car-dvd-player-for-vw.html will connect up without issue (power, Canbus, etc), if you scroll down the page there's a helpful image showing the back of the unit.

My car currently has the Bolero fitted but I want built in Sat Nav and Bluetooth and judging by other forum members (http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/332923-will-this-double-din-fit/) this unit should fit perfectly using the Columbia fascia  (http://www.skodaparts.com/product/octavia-trim-for-navigation-system-2009-2013-50216) I just want to be sure as it seems that the head unit I'm looking at is a newer revision than the one in the above forum post.

Why not go for a gen skoda units the price is coming down rapliy :)

It should do, but do yourself a favour and go to Icebox auto instead - they are UK based and test units before dispatch.

I bought an android unit from them and wouldnt recommend android units in the car - they're too flakey and slow, check out something like this instead - http://www.iceboxauto.com/skoda-octavia-ans620

Thanks for the advice, just when I thought this decision couldn't get anymore confusing!

Paulbrown the OEM Skoda units are still incredibly over priced for what they offer in my opinion!
