Rattle from front of skoda fabia vrs

Featured Replies

New to here after buying a skoda fabia vrs. Had a slight bonking noise from front suspension. I thought maybe top mounts but I changed the link arms as they looked old and worn. It cured the bonking now I have an annoying rattle whilst driving and going over bumps?!? Checked the springs there ok and were replaced a year ago although the car does look very high from the front? Can anyone help or give me any advice?

Thanks!

The annoying rattle that comes from the front of mine comes from the little pads near the hinges that the bonnet sits on. Obviously no idea if the same noise as yours but I thought it was suspension related too, until figured it out, put some grease on them and they shut up.

Hi on my 2005 vrs fabia it was driving me nuts but finally I found the culprit. It was the two round rubber anti vibration pads underneath the front of the bonnet. I just unwound them a complete turn out and that was it rattle gone

Also check your hidden glovebox compartment, I had an annoying rattle from there which was undiagnosed until I learnt you could lift the floor of the glovebox up and there's a second hidden bit (with even more service history waheyy!!)

Really! I'm never in my glove box....don't wear gloves unless I'm jetting or hooking up a trailer

Check all basics. My rattle turned out to be my airbox not seated properly on its rubber bushing at the rear, could have sworn it was more serious.
