10116 - ROD - Unknown Error Code

Featured Replies

Morning everyone,

Last night while driving relaxed on cruise control, suddenly i lost the power and a light popped on. It is like a spiral and it was flashing.

I came home and this morning while trying to start the engine, it doesn't start.

I've scanned it with VCDS and I've got this error:

There was a crackling noise at the engine, I suspect an injector.

Why it doesnt start anymore? Do I need to reset something with the VCDS?

I believe that code relates to low fuel rail pressure - possibly the reason for the non start.

Also, what version VCDS are you scanning the car with, as older versions appear to have difficulty interpreting that code after just doing a quick Google on that code.

Thanks kentphil1, im using an older version of VCDS and the windows OS just crashed and I can't start it to see the version. I believe it was something with 9. I've seen that error number refers to the same thing you mentioned (http://leonclub.pl/forum/viewtopic.php?f=39&t=49791) but it might be the sensor, the injector, many other things causing the low pressure. I have ordered a maxiscan but unfortunately the battery is dead (trying to start the engine) and no way I can get a reading. Im getting a new battery on Tuesday and I will try again.
