So the L&K has its rear light cluster referred to in the brochures and on line as being 'high'. Can anyone tell me (and others on here) what the difference is between a 'high' and other LED cluster. My Dealer doesn't have any info, or an L&K to check.

Is it just a bit of fancy trim, or an all LED unit, or some clever way of driving the lights.....such as Audi's new rear indicator that has the illumination 'flowing' in the direction of the indicator?

Well the answer is as expected, there is no difference. Filament lamps in the same places as non 'high' cars. Something lost in translation somewhere....

Well considering the rear lights on the "LED Exterior Pack" for the L&K don't have much of a difference than the SEL Exec, can someone with an L&K and someone with an SEL Exec/Style confirm what the boarding spots/licence plate lights are like? LED on both or halogen for the SEL Exec?

The L&K gains (over the SE L):

 

“LED exterior light package (LED rear tail lights high, registration plate illumination and boarding spots)"

 

So this would suggest the SE L has normal filament bulbs in the No. plate lights and boarding spots

That's what I was thinking... But with the rear tail lights not seemingly having any differences then I'm curious to see if Skoda is just advertising lies!

Just thinking out loud about what the 'high' bit might have been. Agreed that they are pretty much always LED these days.
