Hi,

Engine won't start and gives a cam shaft sensor error.

The part number that came of is,

038906433e

The only ones I can find however are

038906433a.

What's the difference between the E and A?

Is this for the vRS?

Cam sensor for ASZ/BLT engines given as 038957147G according to e.g. this page. You don't say what year or engine code your car is but 2003-2007 all seem to show same number for cam sensor, for either engine code.

VRS. BLT engine, 2006.

Strange. Don't have that code anywhere on it

Definitely cam sensor, not crank sensor you're talking about?

The part number currently being offered/suggested by ETKA may not be same as what was fitted in the factory, as part numbers get superseded all the time.

The part number you read off what you took off doesn't give many results in google or ebay, are you sure all the digits are correct?
