Seat Adjustment

Featured Replies

I'm really struggling to find a comfortable position for the myself with the drivers seat in my Fab, particularly for longer journeys. I prefer having my seat a little higher so I'm sitting slightly more upright (better for the knees, back etc), but when I pump the seat up, it seems to raise the back of the seat without bring the front up too - so i just feel like I'm being slowly tipped forward off my chair.

Are all Fabias like that? Any ideas how I might be able to make things a bit more comfy? It's really starting to do my head in - my round trip to and from work is about 23 miles/day so I don't want to start developing back problems.

Also are there any guidelines about the optimum position to be sitting in when driving? A lot of guys my age have the seat as low as possible but I just don't find it that comfy for long periods of time.

I've always had my seat aon the highest position, but not too close to the dash(i'm only 5'6") and with seat back normal, found this comfortable on long ( 300-400 mile) trips (even at my advanced 60+) years.

On the jovial side, I first thought this was a request on SEAT adustment, and my only comment would be elephant/big hammer and lots of wellie- well they'd want to make it look like a Skoca, nes't pas?

I'm 5'4''. I'm keeping my seat at it's highest setting and the steering wheel pushed all the way to the dashboard and up. The backrest is leaned at about 100 degrees. I can keep driving like this for ages and it's also perfect for parking (I can see the curb in the mirror  :notme: ). Due to the active headrest I can also manage better my neckpain.

I'm 6' so whilst I can have it at max (and have done for a couple of days), it's not that comfy and it means that with the sun visor down I can't see out much. I'd prefer it about half way up ideally but it's still not comfy for my knees and lower back.
