Yeti driving and fog lights

Featured Replies

I recently purchased a late 2012 Model Yeti Elegance 1.2Tsi auto and am delighted with it.

Recently someone pointed something out to me and searching the manual I am still unsure whether there is a fault or not.

When the driving lights are on, everything seems fine with the front two driving lights illuminated.  When on full beam everything is fine too with both headlights and both front driving lights illuminated.  But when on dipped beam headlights, the nearside driving light goes out leaving the two headlights but only the  offside driving light illuminated.

Is this the way it should work or is there a fault?.  If the latter I'd like to get it attended to before the warranty runs out later in the year.

Also, is the rear high intensity fog lamp just located on the off-side of the vehicle or should there be a pair?

Many thanks

Alan

rear lights, just the offside! no idea about the other question

Perhaps I'm being thick, but the Yeti doesn't have "driving lights".

Do you mean the Daylight Running Lights? Those are the ones in the upper section of the centre lights.

If so then they should not be illuminated when the sidelights are turned on.

However.....

If you mean that one of the lower portion of those lights is illuminated then, as you have an Elegance, that is the "cornering lights" illuminating the fog light on the side that the wheel is turned towards and the indicator is set to that side.

Your posting also suggests that you might be driving with your fog lights on all the time. Are you pulling the switch out as you turn it? If your fog lights are on there should be an additional light on in the speedo.

I'm wondering if this is a steering angle thing, and it is foglights being discussed...?

Welcome to the forum.

Do you mean that the lights show like this, but the drivers side one is the Odd light on?

Is this not the cornering function on the Elegance trim ?

Tony

Is this not the cornering function on the Elegance trim ?

Tony

Which is what I asked in #3.

DRLs

Fogs

Driving lights(?)

High beam

Low beam

Cornering function

Confusion

Add Sidelights and single sidelights on as Parking lights to that,

but as long as you know what you need on you can not go to far wrong even in Australia.
