Front mud flap/ wheel arch fixing?

Featured Replies

Ok so the passenger side wheel arch liner flaps about, there are two holes for fixing, but nothing to fix too, its as if there is a block missing in the pillar or something, Im looking to get front mud flaps on there, but fear they wont fit as the liner doesnt...

I will add a picture ..

Took my screws out for you. There are holes with plastic inserts in the edge of the wing on mine. It's an 03 reg though so maybe they changed something later on, I dunno.

cheers.

All that inside part where the screw fixing is not there on mine .. seems odd ... will weld a piece in and drill a hole.

Thanks for that.

Its just a plastic insert thats missing, as indicated earlier - search ebay for N90833801 or vw splashguard grommets.

So that's a part of the front wing then? Any chance it's had a bump and a new wing?

Get hold of an inner wing and a few of those plastic plugs N90833801 and you're as good as new...

Nah, the metal bit that's missing off his car is all part of the wing. It must be spot welded on or something. I might have another look at it to confirm.

OK, the piece is definitely spot welded to the wing. I can feel the welds with my finger. There is another hole slightly further up on the wing flange too. Maybe you have pattern wings that didn't have the necessary bits.
