I'm thinking it's most likely turbo oil seals or HGF.

Head Gasket failure.

The easiest way of fixing turbo seals is to get an exchange unit.

But either way it needs hands on for a definitive diagnosis.

Any ways of diagnosing it don't use any oil or water don't over heat runs fine just the smoke but could be in early stages I guess..

Exhaust gas analysis test for the coolant, costs about £10 to 15. Will confirm or eliminate HGF.

Also, please tell me this isn't just on cold starts. If it is, and it clears in 5s or so, it's normal behaviour!

Not its when warm also.. But tbh car hasn't really been driven in the last 4 months I've had it only just started doing it

Might be worth trying an Italian tune-up as long as HGF is eliminated first.

I'll have to get it checked and what's an Italian tune up buddy

White smoke is oil leaking past the turbo. Change the turbo oil seals.

Drive it like you stole it for a bit (use quiet roads).

Not always; hence the trying to eliminate other causes.

Haha the one time I did so it all stopped till the next time I started it but it's probably done 100 odd miles since I bought it back in May so would need a good going over
