Hi All,

 

I'm trying to identify a missing part from my engine bay.  I've tried looking on the web and although I can find picture of common parts such as air filter etc. none of them list this one.

 

I've attached a 2.0l TDI PD engine and circled the part in question.  A name or ideally a name and part number would be fab!

That's the air box cover.

Is that really a PD? A 2010 car? Looks identical to my 2011 CR!?

That is the MkII facelift so it's at least a 2014 model, it is a CR engine pictured.

It may be a CR but is just about the same as my PD (mind you, I've not got a photographic memory)

 

I'll take a pic of the missing bit on my PD engine and post it but it is the same part as on this pic.  I noticed when Googling pix that it is also on the FSI and TSI petrol engines!  All of the engines seem to have the bits in the same place ie. Air filter and battery etc.

Thanks for all the replies!  It is defo 18 that is missing Wino thanks!  However, when taking a picture of my engine for all you helpful people I decided to investigate the lower echelons of the engine bay and low and behold found the offending missing part!  I've still uploaded the pic so that there is a comparison of a CR and PD engine (I can't tell the difference mind!

It's all in the engine cover. This is for an Octavia but it seems the differences are also reflected on the Superb...
