Electronic Gate fob

Featured Replies

Hi

We share a driveway and the remote gates have been replaced but the provider is charging 30gbp for spare fobs. There seem to be tonnes of clone fobs on Amazon and I wondered if anybody had an recommendations please?

Thanks.

What are the chances of the clones have the right frequency??

They generally state the frequency in the blurb.

Ok, if they are less than a fiver, it is worth a punt.

I have security gates at work and their fobs are around £30 each.

Ok thanks. Will order a well rated one from Amazon and see how I do. Also need a new skoda key case too whilst I am at it!

We've got electric gates for our secure residential parking area at home and like you, our maintenance company charges £30 or so for extra/replacement fobs.  I ordered one of the cheap clones of ebay and after a struggle to get it programmed, it worked fine (and still does, nearly 2 years on).  Few months later I bought another one (same seller, but apparently 'newer' version) and I can not get it programmed.  Thinking it may have been faulty, got a replacement, but again, no dice...  So 50/50 chance of it working (as long as the code mechanism and frequency matches!)...

Ta.

Decided to go with Amazon as I thought I might have better buyer protection.
