Guys,

I need to remove the door cards in my Fabia to sort out a rattle and fit some insulation.

I know there are 3 screws on the bottom, but there must be others. Anyone know how to remove and refit them or does anyone have any general tips before I start the job and end up swearing at it...

I posted recently about how to remove the leccy window switch cover and I think there was info in there about the door cards - try the search.

-Undo the 3 torx screws at the bottom of the door.

-Lift up the plastic cover that surrounds the window switch. Use a rubber tipped screwdriver to avoid damage if possible, starting at the front edge.

-Slide the rest of the plastic cover forwards and up to remove.

-You should see three or four bolts that hold the card in place, undo these with a philips screwdriver.

-Prise the cover in front of the door handle off (where the mirror adjustment k.nob is on the drivers side). Remove the torx screw from behind it.

-Pull the bottom of the door card towards you, it will make a snapping sound but thats just the clips releasing the card. There are also some near the top of the card.

-Once you have released the clips at the top and bottom, slide the door card upwards and it should come free.

Once you have released the front clips gently lift up the cover and look to the back you will see a second catch - using a long screwdriver push it to release the catch.

Someone recently removed theirs, only to find a blank sheet of metal there. There was no way you could fit insulation unless you mean directly to the sheet of metal?
