What do we reckon

Featured Replies

A next door neighbour has bought a bit of a dog IMO but its his so I'm trying to help as much as I can, he is 90 years young and still driving :o , he recently bought himself a fiat seciento sporting :) lol and it's a wallet swallower, so me and my son had to replace the fuel tank as it was thinner than a Kleenex tissue which was leaking fuel quicker than he could put it in, we have replaced the rear shoes and handbrake cable for his so it's now relatively road worthy now, we will give it a full service as soon as I'm well enough to proceed, however we have noticed the drivers airbag is illuminated and the previous owner / seller had taped over the light so obscuring it for detection, I've checked and it needs fiat computer to reset it and or replace, my question I know long winded is would this fail mot ? With our repairing this light / airbag, could I just remove the fuse that illuminated the light or get him to repair it ?

Good on you for helping out the old bloke.

I just had a quick snoop around a couple of Fiat forums, some mention a simple dealer reset, others mention a new airbag module.

Airbag light fault showing is an MOT fail. Airbag light not working (as in taped over or bulb removed) is also a fail if there are airbags fitted.
