England, Oxfordshire - B4011 Bicester to Thame

Featured Replies

Excellent winding B road with a variety of corners and clear overtaking points. The surface is a little rough on some short sections but generally it is very good. One section of the road between the villages of Long Crendon and Oakley is known by some locals as "The Roller Coaster" - reason for which, will become apparent if you drive the route.

The route makes a good "group drive" first thing on a Sunday morning, with a Little Cheff withing a short distance of each end making for a good breakfast stop.

Lots of deer, badgers and other wildlife along with a distinct lack of bright cat's eyes makes this route a little less enjoyable after dark.

Watch out for a few frost hollows in the winter too.

Nice road Goochie, but one i nearly lost my life on..

Have to say many motorcyclists use it in the summer because of the varied demands on the driver/rider. Once the hedgerows are cut it makes overtaking easier;)

 Little chef at Thame end is very good....... Poss group drive:confused:
