Head gasket or just a leak?

Featured Replies

Had my car mapped for about 2 weeks now (2260). Today I was having a bit fun in 4th to red line and temp went up a little bit so I stopped and it carried on to the end. Opened bonnet and there's coolant around the tank. Temp went back down. Drove it about a mile home temp didn't go up with steady driving. Got home and noticed fans weren't on.

Fingers crossed for you it is just a leak, I wouldn't recommend running it that far around the clock with a 2260 straining the engine.

You may be getting head lift, do you have the PD150 bolts fitted already?

Already got pd 150 headbolts. Been back out now it's cooled down and its lost most of its coolant. If luck is on my side and its just a leak would the super high temperature done any other damage?

Do you mean apart from blowing the head gasket? Unlikely.
