Replacement of estate tailgate.

Hi. I'm hoping the octavia oracles are able to guide me on the location of the tailgates wiring loom connection to the main loom.

Long story short I dented the estates tailgate and bent it out of shape (hence replacement rather than body shop repair/paint etc) and so have bought a replacement tailgate from a local diamantler which will require painting as I have not been able to locate a metallic red tailgate to match my car.

The diamantler had removed the tailgate before I arrived and stated that he had left a few good feet of wiring connected and had chopped it inside the doner car, I thought nothing of this until now when I'm about to take the boot lid for spraying. Have they cut the wiring short (instead of un plugging it) or is the tailgate loom connected up inside said boot lid panel?

Any info/pics of the location of said loom connections would greatly help before I have to disassemble the cars innards too find out (and then have to reassemble so I can still take the dogs about in the car until the repainted tailgate is back ready for install).
