Ed Turners

Featured Replies

hehehe - I survived rather well Neil thanks dude. Drinking at a sensible pace - no issues, no hangover! Phew!

Sunday - I took advantage of the extra hour with a morning attack on the house work and then an afternoon of detailing;

the Seat Exeo hit with Ed Turners SF and wax, plus the R36 finished with Definitive Cora.

Alan popped over for a chat and catch up on his weekend and updates as well.... then the Rugby Semi and F1.

Monday ...back to work for a rest eh!   ;)

Sounds like a great weekend pal. And a very wise and mature approach to the festivities; an approach I am, as yet, unable to take!! Haha.

Resting at work!!! Shame on you! Sounds perfect haha. Enjoy and I'll look forward to the updates when I get back from the Museum of Science and Industry with the kids.

Hi Ben - hope you don't mind me posting up on your thread. Just to complete the Ed Turners testing....?

Had a nice detailing day yesterday - So a Ste's Sunday Shine on the Seat and R36 was priority of the day.

The Exeo hasn't been touched in 3 weeks now.... and some pics before hand to illustrate.

Still - there was recent protection applied - so I thought it was ideal to see how well Ed Turners SF cleans.

I will say its a no frills product - no amazing fruity smell or such like and not the thickest foam.

But it works very very well and the cleaning power is easy to see on the pictures provided.

Approximately 10-15mm worth in the bottom of the lance bottle - topped-up with warm water.

I started with this weaker mix to really see how it would work.... and it certainly did the job.

Dwell time was close n the 10minute mark - given the level of grime on the car.

From that mix/ratio - I foamed the Seat Exeo once and the R36 twice..... so 3 cars worth on the day.

Certainly happy to recommend this if anyone is taking advantage of the cheap wax and free delivery offer at the moment.

No problem - as always, happy to share the good news - great find by Ben though!

Don't run out and buy them Karl - i'll drop off my stuff with you and you can have a play.

Snowfoam is only sold in 500ml at the moment - I would be interested in a 5L price for sure.

Agree. Thanks for the heads up Ben! Sounds like you could be on to something!

Appreciate that mate thanks! Be interested to see how much 5l would be when released.

Just to add a quick few comments and pictures from my Experience on Ed Turners wax.

Nice tin, although I know many prefer the weight of glass pots - but at £9.99 - you cant complain.

Smells nice, loads onto the wax applicator very easily - infact too easily.

It would be too easy to overload the applicator and apply too thick IMO.

I was using the AF Handi-puck and this makes thin application generally quite easy.

One swipe of the applicator was enough to typically apply over 2 panels with ease.

Application is easy and no fuss at all - but it did seem tricky to time for buffing/removal.

On a short cure time with swipe test - it buffed off quite well, two passes ideally get the perfect finish.

I left one panel longer and went for a coffee and popped back out.... as a longer cure test.

Completely dry - it was much more difficult to remove..... even with a very thin application.

All in all - for the price, there is nothing to complain about here.... pics below:-

Thanks for the positive comments Karl.

It is a nice finish and the Exeo was looking excellent!

Alan was over later in the day and commented how well it looked

Anyway - you now have the Ed Turners wax and snowfoam to try out at your leisure - enjoy

Thanks for dropping them off last night mate. Appreciated. I have one of the vans to clean shortly so the snow foam will get a good test!

The wax will be tested on my car in the next week or so! Smells great btw!

Bump

Snow Foam was really pleasing! Put 1 inch in the snow foam lance topped with warm water and set to work. cleaned extremely well as i was using it on the work van for a fair test! Certainly a snow foam I would recommend.

Great consistency using the ratios I used. Great cleaning power. As Ste said in his review, no added scents etc. Just a focused Snow Foam for cleaning and doing what it should!

I did have photos but unfortunately have smashed my phone this afternoon.

Thanks for digging those off the old phone Karl. Overall - I think it performed well.

I'll happily finish off the remainder of that bottle - no problem.

Waiting on a sample to test on the Envy Snowfoam recommended by Ben (BTS22).

I'd be interested in a 5l of the Ed Turners snow foam without doubt. Performed really well!

No worries Ben - there is no rush - other than I certainly wanted to try Bubbly Jubbly before committing to a 5L purchase.

I appreciate life is busy - always the same....

...just as and when you get a chance - as always, really appreciated buddy!
