Right, back on topic with this. Had a couple of hours today so managed to have a play with this wax and some other new products.

So the wax has a nice cherry scent which is pleasant and not too strong. It's not a very hard wax, but it is not soft either, it's just in the middle and how I like it.

One swipe loads up the applicator nicely.

The wax is very oily and spreads a long long way. One swipe allowed me to wax the wing and drivers door on my Fabia and that was with a dry applicator.

Cure time was around 5-10 minutes which allowed me to wax the whole drivers side of the car before coming back to buff off. Swipe test is your friend.

Then coming back to buff off. I say buff, it was more of a wipe off to be honest. Very very easy. I over applied in places on purpose and yes this was more problematic but nothing too bad at all. Didn't even need any QD to help with removal. I was expecting this to be a lot worse to be honest.

And finally this was the finish it left me...

Overall for £9.99 delivered I was absolutely blown away by this wax. The finish is very fluid and glossy. I don't really care about durability as it was very easy to apply.

I await the beading!!

- My only criticism is that the wax isn't hugely slick to the touch but other than that....buy it!!

  • Just to add a quick few comments and pictures from my Experience on Ed Turners wax.   Nice tin, although I know many prefer the weight of glass pots - but at £9.99 - you cant complain.   Smells ni

It's very very nice mate. Can't fault a single product I've used from waxaddict.

It's very easy to use and gives really nice gloss levels. If you go on halfords they are selling it online so it's £12 with free delivery.

Nice review Ben - many thanks for taking the time!

Good review and all the detail I was hoping for mate.

Not much else to say really - ORDERED!

Glad it was useful Ste.

Its an absolute bargain for £9.99.

Can't not have it in the collection for that price!

I would bite the bullet Bob at that price but seeing as I inherited more waxes than I can possibly get through from Carl (Dinski) it would be one more 'wafer thin mint'!

Glad it was useful Ste.

Yes indeed Ben - totally agree.

With free delivery - I threw some snow foam in the basket to test as well!

Thanks for the recommendation Ben - deliveries from Ed Turner and some others...

Hopefully, I shall get to use these at the weekend

I think Ben covered the wax review exceptionally well - but it will keep me busy this weekend.

...well - that's if I sober up.... whisky night, then beer festival the next two evenings! hahaha

I'm interested in the snow foam as that's on my purchase list for the winter season deals.

Also wanted to say the Ed Turners order was well packaged and a quick delivery too - all good.

In all honesty Karl; happy to pass the Funky Munky wax your way once I've tested it

Perfect weekend planned really.... a few days off work now; hanging out with mates from near and far.

Plus the weekend Rugby Semi's and F1 on TV...... with some detailing inbetween.

yeah - should be good Karl.

You haven't picked up Show Edition yet - I presume next week is ok then?

You can grab the Ed Turner's Funky Munky for a test then as well.

Hi All - had a cracking detailing day yesterday - did both our cars at home and tested out the Ed Turners Wax and foam.

Very impressed with the Snowfoam - wasn't expecting it really.

Thanks again for the recommendation Ben ;)

I'll post up a more indepth review later when I get pics uploaded and recover from the weekend

Hope the detailing blew the cobwebs away after your busy weekend (on the ale!) Haha. Looking forward to your in depth thoughts.

hehehe - I survived rather well Neil thanks dude. Drinking at a sensible pace - no issues, no hangover! Phew!

Sunday - I took advantage of the extra hour with a morning attack on the house work and then an afternoon of detailing;

the Seat Exeo hit with Ed Turners SF and wax, plus the R36 finished with Definitive Cora.

Alan popped over for a chat and catch up on his weekend and updates as well.... then the Rugby Semi and F1.

Monday ...back to work for a rest eh!   ;)
