Odometer instead of km/h ?

Featured Replies

Does anyone know if it's possible (using VCDS or any other means) to show Odometer rather than km/h when car is moving please ??

I think it's the Highline display that I have.  Definitely not the Maxidot.  And I have 2012 FL model.

When stationary it shows trip mileage and total mileage.

When moving it shows trip mileage and km/h.

I realise that if I do find a method of changing it then I will need a means of changing it back for MOT as there must be a km/h display to pass MOT

Cheers

Thanks Mike.

It's not actually that important or a big deal.

But would rather have total mileage showing than km/h.  My car passed 80k miles today - I used to love the old mechanical speedos where the numbers all rolled over on such an occasion, but today I didn't know it had actually  happened until I next stopped.

Really? If you got working speedometer then it should be enough with that. That's the main tool for reading speed.

But I really don't understand why do you have such a weird situation... Do I really understand you right? Is driving speed in the place of red elipse (take a look at the pic)? If it's in the place of green elipse then it's fine - you can change that for speed, fuel consumption and other values.

I think that is the Maxidot display  (correct me if I am wrong.  Certainly looks sexier than mine)

Mine looks more like this.

When stationary, it shows total mileage on bottom line (as per pic)

When moving, it shows km/h on bottom line (which is what I want to override)

I feel your pain had my car 3-4 month now and I've been trying to work out what I can and cannot change.
