Bluetooth problems

Featured Replies

I've just received my new Fabia and am very happy with it, the only problem I'm having is with the Bluetooth phone.

Basically when I call out or receive a call the sound will be on the phone not on the cars sound system though the phone appears to be paired properly and I can operate it from the car.

As soon as the call is placed or received the Swing touchscreen will display... ending call... then connection cancelled... then connecting automatically then if I'm lucky the sound will go onto the car audio system about halfway through the call.

So it appears to me that the car is dropping the connection as soon as a call is placed or received and then reconnecting.  My phone is an Andoid and I installed a program called Android Autoconnect, it seems to be a bit more reliable now and the connection is usually restored after about 20 seconds.

I don't have this issue when I pair my phone with my wifes Peugeot, and if I pair my wifes phone with my Fabia she also does have the same issue as me (though her phone is the same model as mine).

Any ideas on how I can resolve this?

thanks

Hi.

That's not a problem I have encountered myself.

Have you tried deleting the pairing both from the phone and the car and then starting again?

Maybe, if you are able, you could try and pair another phone(a totally different make/model) to test the connection and see if there is any difference.

If you cannot get it to work then I'd just give your dealer a call and I'm sure they'll sort it out for you.

Yeah, I tried un-pairing and re-pairing etc and tinkering with whatever settings I had access to, to no avail.

In the end I bought a new Windows Phone, it connected perfectly first time and I haven't looked back.
