I can get this  from a local scrap yard (no price yet) , but was just wondering if they are just plug and play in a 2011 Monte Carlo, would i need any parts to connect it,I have Maxi-Dot and climatronic but no steering wheel controls.

Yes plug and play as long as it has security pin included. Works with maxidot, parking sensors, mdi not sure abit climatatronic.

Make sure you get that Pin if not may need to go into your local dealer see what they can do.

Thanks Richard, will defo ask them about code, do these have a built in sat nav or will i have to get a sd card with maps on. 

You'll also need a gps aerial, you can get a stick on one for the windscreen or try and get a genuine roof mounted Skoda one from a Monte Tech, looks a bit like an Audi sharkfin.

Sorry as Gazbull said forgot about the gps aerial, my nav data came on disc but have transferred it onto sd card not sure how you go about getting it if it's not included sorry will have to try and ask someone with more Skoda knowledge.

Maps will depend on if it's an Amundsen or an Amundsen Plus unit. They look the same but are very different, and the price for an Amundsen would be much less than for the Plus.

Quite surprised that's still in the car at a scrappy!

I think it may needed to be coded to interact with the maxidot?

Thanks everyone, they want £360 with no pin code and they are not sure if it is Amundsen or Amundsen+ as it is still in the car , think I will give it a miss, cheaper on fle- bay. Once again Thanks.

just wondering if anyone knows if you can enter coordinates into the amundsen sat nav ?
