Lowering Pics

Featured Replies

Better late than never, I have got the pics from my little springs change-over to the eibach pro-kit. Only a couple were semi decent so I've posted them as normal

Below is the classic shot of wheel off, strut out, with tools of every kind scattered everywhere

And below here is the moment the front end was dropped after the front springs were changed - bearing in mind the rear end was up in the air to do those springs.

I think it's a bit of a shame that I didn't manage to get a final full and finished shot, but I was dead impressed with the look and I forgot about the camera in my eagerness to test drive them.

Nice axle stands! ;)

A fine example to D.I.Y Mechanincs everywhere :D

Did you have fun with the o/s/f strut?

These can be an **** to get out sometimes as the driveshaft hits the subframe before the wishbone is low enough to get the strut out.

How many hammers? :D

A few. :D

Offside? Is that the driver's side, because if so it was a total 5HIT to get out - serious hammering, bending with crow-bar... :D

The breeze blocks were there only as a safety precuation incase the trolley jack failed somehow, but they were never called upon thankfully!

nice pictures jason looks better in the flesh though!

You can't often tell anything from a camera shot can you, but seeing it hurtle around a bend without any suspension drop is something else!

I just thought the first shot was quite amusing with everything, including the new bloody spring, scattered about all over my mate's farm yard... :D

it was impressive watching the lack of body roll at the meet!

But i was glad of the normal suspension when the furbie went airborne!!!!

K would be in his element in that farmyard by the look of it! :D

Looks like an explosion in a hammer factory :D

Big K would be in hammer / tool heaven in his "toolshop" - every tool, grommit, widget and sprocket on the walls, in boxes, that you could imagine. Came in handy when he attached a "danger of death - keep off" sign on our pram, from a scrapped pylon/pole. We were worried about sabotage this year due to gunning for our third title.

I wonder if that first piccie would be a good post for www(dot)hammer-fetish(dot)com/ ?? :D
