Took Yeti into garage for much work.  Major service, haldex oil change, cambelt change plus rear discs and pads replaced. Toyed with the idea of changing the car (probably for another Yeti) but although 5 years old it only has 37000miles on the clock. I did recently look at Quashquai, and Subaru Forester and Outback but to be honest the Yeti has proved a pleasure to drive and has been trouble free (apart from the rear brake disc fiasco that seems to dog these cars more than others), so we have decided to keep the car for some while longer - not sure for how long but I reckon there is bags of life left in it.

Well mine has done nearly 2.5 times the mileage over the same period and those are the only thing that has been changed on my car too.

Looks like there is plenty of life left!

£800 with me supplying engine oil. It was a negotiated price at main dealer.

Interesting, thank you for bringing this topic up Survey. My Yeti is 3 years old and is due for it,s yearly service. Can someone enlighten me on when or if the 6speed Dsg gearbox needs an oil change? I  know the Haldex oil needs changing probably next year, and the year after the Cambelt and water pump.( I am right in this assumption?).

Hi, had full service last month, 34000 miles.

Asked for DSG oil to be changed, told they also change the filter at same time.

Service reception said they recommend it being changed at 3 years.

Added £90 + vat to bill.
