2008 Octavia 2 Basic settings on new temp flap positioning motor

Featured Replies

Hi all this is my first topic on this forum. I have recently inherited an Octavia 2 1.6 Fsi  ( 1Z ) with Climatic control HVAC. This car was totally unused and is know that it is being used popping up with various annoying faults. The latest is the fact that no hot air with come into the cabin, a plug in has revealed fault 01271 positioning motor for temperature flap ( V68 ). I reckon its not to bad a deal to replace it, but the basic resetting, to enable the new unit to work, how is this done, what position do the flaps, motor and switch have to be in and what channel should be selected once in ( 08 Heating/ Air con )

Cheers
