replacement car keys

Featured Replies

anywhere else you can get  replacement car keys and fob apart from skoda at a reasonable price,

Neighbour has a octavia, and his wife bless her has moved them to a safe place, that save she can't find them

He panicking as only has current key, i told him it turn up but he's wanting to go straight to dealer and pay £140

Old lady has dementia and he's concerned she's chucked them out.

Keep yer eyes peeled on locksmith places. Forget OAP problems, loosing keys is a female thing. So is putting them down inside car and locking doors manually. I'm down to one key now as we went berry picking, with er indoors taking her keys in one hand and collection bag in other. Timpsons will do a coded key for MK1 Fabias etc for circa £100. At one time they 'd do a non chipped key for £15, but they stopped that - little profit I'd expect. But I've found an Eastern European place locally (to me ) ,with a post code of CV10 7DW, who've quoted me £15 for a non chipped key and £40 for a chipped one. Personally I'd like both, but pennies etc, so at moment I think it'll be the non chipped one. At least if she looses it again, then I've no worries about theft of car, just anything from inside it. I've oticed ( but didn't ask about it ), that the advertise a key fob service. I've gone OT on the locality bit as I kmow there are a few members no so far away from me . Any further info -PM for full address .

Back on topic- i don't know if it's advertisement licence ,but advert for AA shows a bloke who'd lost his keys getting one cut by AA patrolman.

well he phomed another dealer who quoted him £126 a key, said to beware of cheap Chinese car fobs. He said part alone was £77, that was actually cheaper than one locksmith who wanted £150, but can take up to 21 days

Not sure if its a huge difference a genuine skoda with badge key or a copy.

Im buying him one of them whistling car key finders, probably end up being more annoying

Our local Saintsbury's has a "Timpsons" and they are about £60 for a new fully coded key (key with transponder only) not a full 2 button remote but ideal as a back up!

We also have a mobile locksmith with full coding of keys...he took my only Passat key and programmed a new one then plugged a box of tricks into the car and deleted 3 other unknown keys from the ECU!

The car had a total of 4 keys registered to it but I was only given 1 when I bought it second or third hand.
